The traditional method of dispute resolution is to file a lawsuit. Apart from this, there are alternative dispute resolution methods.
One of the alternative dispute resolution methods is mediation. Mediation is a negotiation process conducted by a mediator, an independent and impartial third party who focuses on resolving disputes between parties outside of litigation and achieving agreement.
The mediation process is based on the principles of confidentiality, equality and voluntariness. In accordance with the Law on Mediation in Legal Disputes and relevant legislation, it is mandatory to resort to mediation before filing a lawsuit in some types of disputes.
